So many anglers have shared photos of great fish this past week. Looks like the bass bite has exploded, both Large & Smallmouth. Smallmouth seem to dominate most waters now, with very chunky bronze backs being pulled form all area lakes and rivers.
With water temperatures now in the mid/upper 70’s along with shorter days, t is certainly driving almost all species of fish to feed more aggressively and feed up for the upcoming seasonal change. This is why late season fishing is my favorite time of year to fish. Almost any species you target, will be biting hard!
Keeping an eye on the Muskie bite, have a trip panned on the Delaware in a few weeks with a special guest. Trying to get a good friend his first bucket list Muskie! No better place to get started then the Delaware, hoping for a great day, will have video to share soon!
This time of year is also my favorite for Crappies! Been talking with fishing buddy Josh Taylor about a late afternoon trip to Mauch Chunk to target some slabs, should be on them in the next week or two for sure.
Also thinking about some saltwater action. Again fishing buddy Josh Taylor is out as I write slaying some Fluke. Some new Berkley PowerBaits we are field-testing are getting the job done quickly! We will have more on this shortly as we have a ton of gear to review.
With the summertime crowds diminishing, now is the best time of year for the sport fisherman. Quiet day on the water less the commotion of speedboats & jet skies. Waters seem completely different this time of year. Lets get out and enjoy them!
